Age 52, died Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital after a short illness. She was born March 7, 1962 in Jackson, Michigan, the daughter of Richard Harry & Alice May (Esch) Hadley.
Nancy graduated from Chelsea High School in 1981. She provided in-home health care for many people, and did a lot of community work, especially at the homeless shelter. Nancy was Baptist, but attended several churches in the Ann Arbor area with her friends.
On February 15, 2000, she married Walter L. Harris, and he survives. She is also survived by two sons, Richard Perry of Tecumseh, Kenneth Box of Ann Arbor; a daughter, Sara Perry of Tecumseh; two brothers, David Hadley of Stockbridge, Dale Hadley of Chelsea; two sisters, Susan Hadley of Whitmore Lake, Pamela (James “Scott”) Knudsen of Kaleva, MI; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 8, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea. Burial followed at Mt Hope Cemetery, Waterloo. The family received friends Tuesday 2-4 & 6-9 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to to her family.
