of Chelsea, MI, age 86, died Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born July 13, 1928 in Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry & Catherine (Ehr) Brosnahan.

Sue received her Bachelors Degree from St. Theresa's College in Winona, MN. After college she was a reporter and writer for the Minot Daily News in North Dakota. Sue was a stewardess for Northwest Airlines in the late 40's and early 50's. She created her own business as a finance manager and bookkeeper for numerous clients, both individuals and businesses in the Ann Arbor Area. Sue was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chelsea and on the Finance Council for many years.

On August 27, 1952, she married Raymond D. Martin in Spokane, Washington, and he preceded her in death on November 25, 1991.   Survivors include her brother, John Brosnahan of Atlantic, IA; a sister, Elizabeth Brosnahan Broome of Claremont, CA; a nephew, Michael (Ellen) Brosnahan; a niece, Barbara Brosnahan (William) Kunzweiler; grandnieces and grandnephew, Kate Brosnahan (Rob) Culen, Jennifer Kunzweiler, Tracy Kunzweiler, Brady (Emily) Brosnahan; great-grandnieces and great -grandnephews, Maggie Toennis, Owen Toennis,  Francesca Brosnahan, and Oliver Brosnahan.   She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Brosnahan. 

A Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, October 3, 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chelsea, with Rev. Dr. William J. Turner officiating.  Burial followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in ChelseaThe family received friends at the church Friday 10-11 am.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or St. Louis Center.
