Dexter, Michigan, at age 94, Lucille died peacefully at her home on Monday, July 28, 2014. She was born October 14, 1919 in Thorp, Wisconsin the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Kras) Holda and was a graduate of Reed City Michigan high school.

Lucille was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Dexter Community for over 60 years. The many people of all ages who knew her, loved her and valued their time with her have said in so many ways; “…your light and your love make the sun shine so much brighter”,…” you bring happiness and hope to the hearts of many”, ”…you are the treasured comforts of true friendship”, “… you are Peace…you are Light…you are Love”. For all of those whose lives she touched she created everlasting memories.

Lucille is survived by a brother Leon Holda and sister Eleanor DeLisle, her children Edward (Sharon) Laski of Dexter, Patricia (Bernard) Fox of Dexter, Thomas Laski of Pinckney, Diana (Gary) Wesley of Ann Arbor, Susan Laski of Dexter, Mark Laski of Dexter, and grandchildren Yvette (Bruce) Hall, Jaime (Mark) Scappaticci, Max Laski, Jordan Laski, Amy (Harold) Knight and John (Sara) Wesley. Also all of those who came to know this beautiful lady as “Grandma Lu”!

Cremation has taken place. The immediate family will gather for a private memorial service at Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Westland. The family requests that donations in Lucille’s memory be made to the Starry Skies Equine Rescue & Sanctuary at: 8133 W.
