Port Charlotte, FL, age 94, died Monday, June 16, 2014 at Harborview Acres Retirement Residence in Port Charlotte, FL. She was born October 1, 1919 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of John “Jack” & Hermina (Volz) Stierle.

Lucile graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1937.  She worked for Ann Arbor Bank for many years, then worked as an office manager for the U of M Food Services.  She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church  in Ann Arbor and San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port, FL.  Lucile spent her summers at Portage Lake in Pinckney.  She was a member of “Women of the Elks” and was an avid bowler and softball player in her younger years.

 She married Charles F. Clarke, and he preceded her in death in 1977.  She married Fred Campau, and he preceded her in death in 2002. Survivors include two sons, Patrick J. (Sandra) Clarke of Pinckney, Timothy Clarke of Ann Arbor; one sister, Joan (Keith) Chambers of Pinckney; 2 grandchildren, Timothy Scott Clarke of Ypsilanti, Christine Marie Clarke of Jacksonville, FL; and 1 great-grandson, Nashton Alexander Clarke.  She was also preceded in death by an infant son, John “Jackie” Clarke.

      Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church (Village Church), Dexter, Michigan with Fr. Brendan J. Walsh officiating.  Burial followed at Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor, Michigan. The family received friends at Cole Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 4-7 pm and from 10-11 am Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
