Age 89, died Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Ganton Retirement Center, in Jackson. She was born April 5, 1924 in Salyersville, KY, the daughter of Lark & Elizabeth (Risner) Risner.

    Ginnie attended Chelsea First United Methodist Church for many years.  She worked at Rockwell for 34 years, then cleaned houses for many people in Chelsea.  Ginnie loved to work outside, and many people saw her working in her yard at the corner of Mayer Drive and Madison Street.  She volunteered at Faith in Action. 
 Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Parker of Chelsea; a sister, Wava Whitaker, a half-brother, Roger Collins and a half-sister, Carol.

   Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 29, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, Michigan with Rev. Tom Macaulay officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery, Chelsea. The family received friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea First United Methodist Church or Faith in Action.
