It was a privilege to know Roy and Nancy through my music work at Church in the Hills, Bellaire. Roy's beautiful voice and quiet presence graced our choir for several summers and we felt his support from the congregation when singing was no longer pleasurable for him. He often spoke lovingly and with such admiration for his family members, some of whom are carrying on the music talent in fine style. You are a beautiful family, one that brings great joy to those around you. I hope at least some of you will join us in Bellaire at least occasionally.

I am eternally grateful that my wife Judy and I crossed paths with Roy and Nancy Lambert. For the 6 years we lived in Waterford. Our lives were enriched tremendously as Roy and Nancy generously welcomed us into their homes and lives. Roy's many passions (which included a fast wit and penchant for puns) were infectious. I have so many happy memories.

He did everything he attempted with all his heart and soul. He leaves a legacy in our hearts of a joy of life, love of nature and an appreciation of all of God's wonderful gifts that surround us each day. Especially the blessings of good friends and time spent together.

The heavenly choir just acquired another sweet wonderful tenor. I am sad now that he is gone, but glad that he was here. I am one of so many people who's lives were touched by Roy's extraordinary life.

Godspeed, my friend. Experience joy 'too fierce to be expressed' (from Handel's Solomon).
