of Munith, formerly of Chelsea and Manchester.  Age 62, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Chelsea Community Hospital. He was born June 7, 1951 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Daniel F. & Clara M. (Miller) Ewald.

Ted graduated from Chelsea High School in 1969.  He attended Chelsea First United Methodist Church, and was a Munith Lions Club volunteer.  Ted founded and organized the Camel Fall Golf Classic in the Jackson area.  He loved golf, playing music, cooking, gardening, landscaping, and he was a published poet.

On January 14, 1979, he married Beverly S. Palmer in Grass Lake, and she survives.  He is also survived by two daughters, Jennifer and Rein Ewald, both of Munith; his brother, Joe (Beth) Ewald of Chelsea; three sisters, Martha Salyer of Grass Lake, Carol Ford of Chelsea, Jane Engel of Homer; one grandson, Reid Ewald, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held Sunday June 30, 3:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. Joy Barrett officiating.  The family received friends Sunday 10-12:00 and 2-3:00 before the service.  Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
