of Stockbridge, age 43, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her home. She was born July 2, 1969 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Magaline Marshall Watkins Bedell.

Peggy spent the majority of her life as a stay-at-home-mother to her five children.  She loved spending time with her family and friends.  She was known for her spunky attitude and goofy personality.  She wasn't afraid to say how she felt and that's what everyone loved so much about her.  She was so honest, caring, and outspoken.  She was fun-loving and had a heart of gold.  Peggy also had a strong love for animals, especially dogs. But above all else, Peggy adored her five children.  They were her pride and joy.

Survivors include three sons, Tyler Marshall of Louisville, KY, Alex Shepherd of Mount Sterling, KY, Joshua Shepherd of Plano, TX; two daughters, Andrea (Zachariah) Marshall Conley of Ridgecrest, CA, Tamara Shepherd of Morehead, KY; their father and Peggy’s husband for 18 years, Douglas Shepherd; a brother, Robby Watkins; a sister, Patty Watkins (Mickey) Dunaway; 2 grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, and her partner of several years, Dan Lovely. She was preceded in death by her mother, Magaline Marshall Watkins Bedell; and her maternal grandparents, Walter & Alta Marshall.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 17, 1:00 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.  The family received friends Friday 11 am - 1 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

mom, words cannot explain the pain i feel knowing that i will never get to hug you, see you or hear your voice again. all we can do is hold on to our memories, look at your pictures and read your facebook posts. i know if you were here, you would be devastated to see us all so sad and you would tell us you loved us and that everything will be okay. you will be missed so much by so many people. i am so sorry this happened to you mom, you did not deserve to leave us so early. i just hope that you've been reunited with your mother and that you are truly at peace. we all love you so much.
