of Manchester, MI, age 66, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Bixby Hospital in Adrian, Michigan after a many -year battle with neurological demons. He was born April 8, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Judah & Mary Shimer (Felton) Drob.


Ralph worked for Comshare Inc. for many years as a computer communications specialist.  After Comshare, he worked for a number of small start up companies.  He loved animals, especially his cats, and watching wildlife.  In his early years he loved sports, especially softball.  He coached “Ralph’s Rowdies” for many years, which is how he met his wife, Sue.  He was a very handy, intelligent husband who was kind, caring and giving.

On June 2, 1984, he married Susan B. Plecha in Ann Arbor, and she survives. Other survivors include two sisters, Grace (Stan) Shackman of Ann Arbor, and Frances E. (Stan) Worrel of Heathsville, VA; and a niece & nephew, Joshua Shackman and Leah Shackman.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Huron Valley Humane Society.  Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
