Of Tecumseh, MI, formerly of Ann Arbor. Age 92, went to be with the Lord and her husband, Arnold on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at her daughter's home. She was born July 1, 1930 in Freedom Township, the daughter of Joseph L. & Amanda L. (Henes) Bersuder.

Arlene graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1948. She worked at the Washtenaw County Clerk’s office until 1991. Arlene was a member of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, and was a fantastic vacation planner, including a very special trip to Alaska. Her greatest enjoyment in life was her family.

On January 29, 1949, she married Arnold E. Naebeck in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2013. Arlene is survived by her children, Sandra Naebeck, David (Kathleen) Naebeck, Bonnie (Willard “Bill”) Kohler, Kimberly (James) Payeur, and Rodney “Buck” (Laurie) Naebeck; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred “Micki” Crawford; and a sister-in-law, Neita Naebeck. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Brandon Payeur and Jeremy Kohler; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Bernard Crawford, Louis Naebeck, Norman and Marlene Naebeck, Robert and Shirley Hartman, Warren and Dorothy Hartman.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 11:00 am at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7474 Scio Church Road, Ann Arbor with Rev. Paul Jansen officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, behind the church. On Tuesday, the family will receive friends at the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church from 2-4 & 5-8 pm, as well as one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.

Arlene and Arnie were salt of the earth people. Enjoyed many hours of sharing work with them at Camp Killarney. They were good folks. Condolences to all the family, Doug and Marj Macomber
