of Jackson, MI, formerly of Gregory, MI, age 79, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in her home with family at her side. She was born May 10, 1943, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Paul R. and Dorothea M. (Sodt) Cook.

Linda proudly worked as the secretary of Special Education department in the Stockbridge school district between the mid 1970's and early 1980's before going to work for the local phone company Alltel Corp., from where she later retired.

She was a very active member of Al-Anon beginning in 1983, serving as a district representative years later. Linda’s two biggest passions were, serving her Lord and Savior, and her family.

Linda was a beloved mother, and devoted wife, always putting other’s needs above hers. She was friendly, outgoing, always with a loving spirit who enjoyed camping, crocheting, gardening and particularly loved going on walks the last few years of her life.

Above all, she loved God and wanted to share the Good News of His saving grace, to all with an ear to hear and consistently participated in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child program, responsible for spreading the word of Jesus around the world.

Linda was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, MI, Shalom Lutheran Church in Pinckney, MI, Grass Lake United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, as well as Vandercook Missionary Church in Vandercook. She was a current member of Bethel United Church of Christ in Manchester.

On September 15, 1962, Linda married Norman R. Wolff in Ann Arbor. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2014. Survivors include one son, Dwayne (Nejla) Wolff of Chicago, IL, one daughter, Jennifer (Paul) Heimerdinger of Manchester; three siblings, brother Dennis Cook of Moncks Corner, SC, two half-sisters, Karen Congdon of Prescott, AZ and Allison Dethoff of Dewey, AZ. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lisa Wolff.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 16th from 4-7 PM at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea and at Bethel Church September 17th from 12:30 PM until the time of service at 1:30 PM. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 1:30 PM at Bethel United Church, Manchester with Pastor Dave Bucholtz officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove East Cemetery in Chelsea.
