Age 65, died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born January 5, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Robert K. and Violet (Broder) Sherwin. He married Kathy (Hilton) Sherwin, who preceded him in death on July 13, 2019.  Survivors include his son, Ryan Jacob Sherwin of Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Evelyn Mae Sherwin & Vivienne Marie Sherwin; step-daughter, Amy Hilton; step-grandchildren, Sydney Hilton and Alicia Hilton; siblings, Mary (Sherwin) Bartlett of North Port, FL; Shelly (Sherwin) Davis of Saline, MI; and nieces Nicole Sweeny, Ashley Vermeylen, Morgan Compton, and Lauren Gawura.  

He was a 1975 graduate of E.L. Bowsher High School in Toledo, OH and is an alumnus of The University of Toledo.  He built an Electrical Engineering career specializing in robotics at Ford Motor Co. most recently retiring from Johnson Controls.  Bob embraced carrying forward family Holiday cooking traditions, loved the water and related sports and vintage automobiles. He took great pride in his lawn and garden and was looking forward to honing his golf skills at his recently purchased golf community home in Florida. He will be remembered for his dry and sometimes sarcastic (but absolutely lovable) sense of humor, love of watching classic adventure and espionage movies with loved ones and friends and most importantly his kind, gentle, and understanding demeanor.

Memorial services and celebration of life will be determined at another date. Burial of ashes will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, Ohio. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, MI.
