Of Chelsea, formerly of Dexter.
Age 88, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, at her home in Chelsea, suddenly. She was born June 18, 1933, in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Hugh W. & Ethel M. (Highland) Gaddis.
On February 16, 1963, she married Lester Esch and he preceded her in death on September 28, 2008. She is also survived by her daughter, Doris Esch; a brother in-law and sister in-law; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William H. Gaddis in 2000, her parents, a nephew and her two dogs, Candy and Fred.
Carole liked to crochet and watch TV and was an avid U of M fan. She stayed home to raise her daughter. Carole was a kind and loving person.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 4, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. Jeff Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn, Dexter, Michigan. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
