Of Dexter, MI, age 87, died quietly in his sleep on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was born July 1, 1934 in Staten Island, New York, the son of Norman Alexander & Ethel Viola (Mortensen) Jeffery.

Don graduated from Dexter High School in 1952. He went to work in material control for Ford Motor Company (Ypsilanti plant) right after high school and worked for Ford for over 50 years. Don served in the US Army at Ft. Bliss, TX, from 1957 - 1963. After retirement, Don was proud to have taken classes at Washtenaw Community College, during which he restored his John Deere tractor. Don was a good bowler in his younger years, and golfed the majority of his life. He enjoyed playing cards with his brothers, and games with his family and friends. Don loved tinkering with his tractor, woodcarving, and yard work. He had a good sense of humor, liked to laugh, and would talk to anyone.

On December 13, 1968, he married Velma “Jean” Seyfried, and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Stephanie (Eric) McPherson of Omaha, NE; a brother, Norman Jeffery of Chelsea; sisters-in-law, Lois Jeffery and Eva Jeffery. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Wallace, William, Douglas (Susan); and a sister, Karen (Jeffrey) Eggleton.

The family will receive friends at Cole Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 18, 4-7 pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 11:00 am at Bethlehem Cemetery, Ann Arbor.

Jean and Stephanie. so sorry to hear about Don. he will be missed. Although we didn't get together like we did in younger days as cousins we thought about you all and talked when possible. Take care. Love your cousins Gary, Karen and Randy Brewet

it makes me smile just thinking about it those
days
He'll be surely missed.
