Family was important to Peggy. She had a special relationship with her son, Julian Giardello, daughter-in-law Katie, and grandsons, Luca and Nico. Other family she leaves behind include her daughters Debbie (Bill) Makris and Bonnie (Jamie) Richards; stepson, Joe Giardello; grandchildren, Joshua Richards, Bobby (Stephanie) Tweedlie, James Richards, and Cheryl (Brad) Burch; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Peggy was a kind-hearted and loving person, always looking for ways to help where she could. She loved animals, especially her grand-dog Wiley. In the last years of her life, she enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling on new adventures with her son's family, and cheering on her grandsons' hockey teams.

Cremation has already occurred, and a private burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends contributions to the Humane Society of Huron Valley to honor Peggy's love of animals. Memorial donations can be made at https://www.hshv.org/give/donate/. Arrangements were entrusted to Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.

Sorry to know that Peg has passed. Remembering her fondly, and her love for her husband and sons as well as Max, Bon-Bon, and the pigeon. Remember Peg as kind and caring and always welcoming. My condolences.

Peggy Grew up a few houses from me in St. Clairsville, Ohio. We played together as youngsters and were in Girl Scouts, which Peggy loved. She enjoyed all the activities and was always true to the Girl Scout Laws. I knew her as open, good-natured, honest, caring, and well-intended.
When we connected a few years ago she spoke lovingly of her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments .
I send my condolences to her family. I will miss our phone conversations.

Dear Julian, Katie, Luca and Nico, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Mother & Grandmother Peggy. I enjoyed my time with her when visiting at your house. Having the same 1st name gave us a bond. You both know the ache in your heart when you lose someone dear. Peggy will always be with you in spirit. I am sorry that we are so far away that I am not able to give you all a hug. But you are in our thoughts and prayers.
