Of Hudson, MI, age 86, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital Chelsea. She was born August 6, 1935 in Stella, KY, the daughter of George and Katie (Dunn) Lovely.
Phyllis had resided in the Chelsea area since 1954. She was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Hudson.
On December 24, 1955, she married Wayne Leslie Stutzman in Detroit, MI, and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2007.
Survivors include two sons David (Phyllis) Stutzman of Munith, and Scott Stutzman of Hudson; one daughter, Gloria (Steven) Kincer of Grass Lake; 2 sisters, Jean Wisecup, and Joy Fults; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 6 sisters, Hazel Minix, Reva Montgomery, Wanda Cole, Nola Patrick, Jewell Goff, Tressie Minix; and three brothers, Elwood Lovely, Mitchell and Ishmael Picklesimer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 11:00 am at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, with Rev. Phyllis Stutzman officiating. Burial will follow at Vermont Cemetery, Chelsea. The family will receive friends Friday from 5-7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea Assembly of God, 14900 E. Old US 12, Chelsea, MI 48118.
