of Gahanna, Ohio, formerly of Dover, Ohio; and Chelsea, Michigan, age 88, died Friday, April 30, 2021, in the St. Ann Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. She was born November 11, 1932, in Zanesvile, OH, the daughter of Raymond V. & Hester M. (Mason) Brock.
Eleanor attended the Ohio Institute of Business Training. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster, OH. Eleanor volunteered with the Chelsea Community Hospital and was a member of the Chelsea Senior Citizens. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who enjoyed family and crafting.On July 8, 1967, she married Dale L. Maurer at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Wooster, OH. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2018. Eleanor is survived by her children, Tim (Jessica) Maurer of Gahanna, OH, and Elizabeth Maurer of Alexandria, Virginia; her sister, Frances (Allen) Crail of Idaho Falls, Idaho; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, James Brock and Alfred Brock.Private graveside services were held at the Dover Burial Park in Dover, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
