of Grass Lake, Michigan, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the tender age of 18. Icy was born June 15, 1993 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the daughter of Thomas & Denise (Grice) James.
Icy was raised and lived her whole life in Grass Lake. Icy loved music and playing the drums. She was kind, loving, and giving. Icy was her mother’s sidekick and went everywhere with Denise. Icy loved her Dad dearly. Icy wa
s baptized last March at Page Avenue Church.
Icy was a loving mother to her 3-month-old son, Carter William James. Other survivors include her parents, Thomas and Denise James; her sister, Nevaeh James; grandparents, Dorothy James, Robert Shears, Ruby Sams; aunts and uncles, Bill Sams, Doug Sams, Jerry Grice, Marisa Williams, Holly & Jeff Miller, Martha & Dave Gorman; and many cousins. Icy was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Clayton James and Richard Bonner.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, 2:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea with Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating. The family received friends Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Tom or Denise James to be used for Carter.
