of Chelsea & Alanson, Michigan, Age 81, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was born October 26, 1930 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Homer D. & Eva L. (Oaks) Bugbee.
Lillian was the medical secretary at Burns Clinic in Petoskey. She attended Chelsea Free Methodist Church and Alanson Nazarene Church. She spent a lot of time in Flint and Port Huron as a young person.
On July 3, 1948, she married Donald “DJ” Sheldon, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Diane (Tom Nichols) Sheldon-Ku of Grass Lake; a son Roderick (Shelley) Sheldon of Wolverine; two brothers Lee (Marcia) Bugbee of Grand Rapids, and Ken (Jan) Bugbee of Burton; two sisters Edith Bugbee of Flint, and Mary (Don) Taylor of Louisville, OH; sister-in-law Barbara Bugbee-Miller; three grandchildren, Anne Carroll, Cleo Ku, and Derek Ku; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers Al and Chuck Bugbee.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 17, 1:00 pm at Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea, MI with Rev. Jeff Ford officiating. A second memorial service was held at Alanson Nazarene Church will be held Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., Alanson, Michigan. Burial will take place at Littlefield Township Cemetery.
